Logroño is a pleasant university city on the banks of the river Ebro, Spain’s longest river. The city sits nestled in a bowl of surrounding hills and has one of the most distinguished culinary traditions in Spain. There are over 50 tapas restaurants (taperías) located within the town center. The traditional tapas restaurants often serve only one tapa  served as pincho – pintxo in Basque – meaning one serving but offer different wines by the glass to wash it down with from the local La Rioja denomination. Red wine lovers are in for a treat!
