Some descriptions of the walk would be good as I would like to avoid the crowds and enjoy the scenery especially off bitumin but am wondering whether a moderately fit 65 year old will be up to it?
Absolutely you can cope. There is lots of varied terrain that you have to deal with but it’s all part of the challenge. Yes much is on p!easant off road shaded paths but there is also plenty of bitumen and concrete as well as some rubble and rough slate surfaces. Practice with a walking pole/s and you will be fine. There is no avoiding crowds after Sarria but take your time and enjoy the experience.
