Camino De Santiago by Bike – Leon to Santiago

Cycling is an excellent way to experience a good part of the Camino de Santiago in short time frame. The walking trails of ‘The way’ are also open to cyclists and it is an accepted way to experience the pilgrimage. We can arrange trips of any duration to suit your timeframe and ability.

Our suggested itinerary on this page covers the last week from Leon to the end of the trail at the legendary city of Santiago de Compostela, around 330 km cycling. This section suits cyclists who are in reasonably good shape as there are several hills to be tackled as the way climbs into the beautiful green countryside of Galicia. ( If you prefer your cycling to be flat then ask us about the middle section from Logrono – Burgos – Leon)

You’ll have a good quality mountain bike delivered to your hotel along with panniers, tool kit, lock, small handlebar bag and pump – everything you need to get you on the road. Each day your main luggage will be transferred to the next hotel so you can keep your weight in the bike light and just take what you need for the day. Each evening you’ll come into excellent accommodation, handpicked for it’s character and location. At the end of your trip we’ll pick up your bike from your accommodation in Santiago.

If you prefer to do more cycling or less then let us know and we can arrange an itinerary to suit you, though tailormade arrangements may incur higher costs with the extra work involved.
