Rooftop tour of the iconic Santiago cathedral
“The roof top tour was fantastic. We had an enthusiastic English speaking guided tour who pointed out some very interesting things like the place where the bell ringer and his family lived on the roof up to 1962 a facade the clergy built in front of some homes to make it more attractive to look at and lots of information about the cathedral and surrounding buildings. The roof is actually easy to negotiate and built for walking on as it had been originally planned as a fortress to defend the cathedral and its relics.
